Emiliano Martinez is injury worry for Wolves next weekend

Wolves goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is already an injury doubt for their Sky Bet Championship trip to Ipswich.

The Arsenal loanee suffered a thigh injury in last week's 0-0 draw with Burnley and boss Kenny Jackett confirmed he could be set for a spell out.

Carl Ikeme will deputise if Martinez is missing and Jackett admitted Martinez could be out for the game at Portman Road next Saturday.

"There is quite a bit of damage in his tissue," he said.

"It does look like he has a problem with it. I'd put him as doubtful for Ipswich."

Meanwhile, Jackett admitted Wolves are keen on Newcastle striker Adam Armstrong.

The forward has scored 12 goals in 14 games on loan at Coventry this season after joining the Sky Blues on a six-month loan deal in July.

"We've watched him at Coventry," Jackett told the Express & Star.

"We watch a lot of players, but we haven't made any approach (to Newcastle).

"He won't be short of teams watching him, he'll have drawn a lot of attention. I thought he drew quite a bit of attention when he was at Newcastle anyway, playing well for the under-21s, but going out and doing it at first-team level is a big one."
