Ipswich midfielder Luke Hyam has signed a new two-year deal

Ipswich midfielder Luke Hyam has signed a new two-year deal with the Tractor Boys.

The 24-year-old came through the academy at Portman Road and has made 128 appearances for the club, scoring three goals.

Hyam's new deal will keep him at Ipswich until 2018, with the option of a further 12 months after that.

The midfielder had his first spell away from Ipswich earlier this season when he went on loan to Rotherham following his recovery from a serious knee injury.

He won his place back in Mick McCarthy's side on his return and was first choice through to the end of the season.
