Hearts have completed the signing of former Celtic striker Tony Watt on a season-long lean deal from Charlton.
The 22-year-old has passed a medical and is likely to be unveiled at Tynecastle on Thursday, when Hearts play Birkirkara in the Europa League second-round qualifier.
Watt will not be available for the tie, but should Hearts progress the Scotland international will be able to play in the next round of the competition.
After making an instant impression with the Hoops, scoring twice in a 3-0 win over Motherwell, Watt netted what turned out to be the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League the following season.
He had a loan spell in Belgium with Lierse and then signed a permanent deal with Standard Liege in July 2014 before joining Charlton.
Since moving to The Valley in January 2015, Watt has been on loan in the Sky Bet Championship at Cardiff and Blackburn.
Watt has yet to play at Tynecastle, but his first league game for Hearts could be at the venue against Celtic on August 8.
"I'm still young and I've got a large chunk of my career ahead of me, so I want to come back up here and play games," Watt said on Hearts TV.
"This is a big club and I want to come back to Scotland and get a bit of stability. I had a stop-start season last year for a variety of reasons, both in terms of injury and being out on loan at a few clubs.
"I'm not far away in terms of fitness, I'm ready to go and just need game time really.
"So I'm looking forward to getting started. I've never played at Tynecastle before, I've been on the bench here once but that's it.
"I'm looking forward to playing here and hopefully the fans will be cheering my name."
