Pablo Hernandez has signed a new two-year deal with Leeds that will keep him at Elland Road until the summer of 2020.

The 33-year-old's deal was due to expire at the end of the current season, but Leeds have moved to avoid Hernandez leaving on a free transfer.

The Spaniard joined Leeds in August 2017 - initially on loan - and has gone on to score 15 goals in 80 appearances for the Championship side.

Hernandez has been one of the standout performers in a mixed season for Leeds, and has been nominated for their player of the year award.

His nine goals in 42 appearances this season have helped Leeds to 12th position in the Championship with two matches still to play.
