Defender eyes long-term Britannia stay

Andy Griffin has completed his move to Stoke from Derby. The 28-year-old arrives at the Britannia Stadium for a fourth spell in a £300,000 deal. Griffin enjoyed a successful loan spell at Stoke last season before making the move to Derby from Portsmouth. Potters boss Tony Pulis kept tabs on the full-back and has moved to bring him back to the club. Griffin believes he will end his career at Stoke and is delighted to be returning to the Championship club.

Happy

"I enjoyed here last season a lot more than I have enjoyed this season at Derby. Perhaps I never realised I was that happy until I left," Griffin told the club's official website. "You live and die by your decision. Hindsight is a great thing. But if I could turn back the clock, then my decision in the summer would have been different. "I started my career here and it looks like I will end my career here. I can't really see myself going anywhere else now to be honest. Stoke means a lot to me, it is a club I love and a club I want to see in the top flight."
