Forest still keen to sign striker despite third snub

Skysports.com understands Coventry have rejected a third bid from Nottingham Forest for striker Leon Best. League One hopefuls Forest are keen on bringing Best to the City Ground to boost their promotion bid and have already seen two bids rejected by Coventry. Forest are refusing to give up on their pursuit of Best and are believed to have tabled a £1.1million bid for his services. Best has admitted he is flattered by Forest's interest and he is believed to be open to a move to his hometown club. Coventry are keen to keep hold of the former Southampton hit-man, although Forest are still hopeful of pushing through a deal before the close of the transfer window at the end of the month.
