Wolves ace wants Peterborough man to join

Michael Kightly believes wantaway striker Aaron McLean would become a fans' favourite at Wolves if the club can agree a fee with Peterborough. The 25-year-old has been placed on the transfer list reluctantly by Posh who are believed to want a fee in the region of £5million. Although a deal is still some way from completion, Wolves ace Kightly believes the former Grays Athletic hit-man would prove a massive success at Molineux.

Potential

"He's very hungry and wants to do well like me," Kightly told the Express and Star. "Potentially, he is a fans' favourite if he does come because of the way he plays. "First and foremost, he's a very hard-working player who works his socks off all day long. If players give 110 per cent, fans can relate to that and they're more likely to take to a player. "He wears his heart on his sleeve and scores goals. It's just whether his signing can be agreed. He would be a great signing for us."
