Forward to keep options open

Loan star Alan Gow's future is up in the air following the departure of Simon Grayson from Blackpool. Gow is currently on loan at Blackpool after joining the club from Rangers on transfer deadline day. The forward's deal expires at the end of the month and he is due to return to Ibrox. Blackpool had expressed an interest in making Gow's stay a permanent deal, but Grayson's decision to leave the club for Leeds puts any switch in doubt. The news is believed to have alerted a number of other Championship clubs to Gow's possible availabilty in the January transfer window, while Leeds could also be interested as Grayson is believed to be a big fan of the Scot. The former Falkirk man has impressed at Bloomfield Road, scoring four goals, and Gow is hoping his performances will improve his chances of making the breakthrough at Rangers upon his return to Ibrox. Gow's agent, Phil McTaggart, has confirmed the player will return to Rangers before making a decision on his future. "Alan is due to return to Rangers after the Wolves game at the end of the month and he wants to give a real go when he gets back there," McTaggart told skysports.com. "Alan has done well at Blackpool and they were thinking of signing him permanently, but I am not sure where that stands now their manager has left. "He is happy he got some action under his belt and he is raring to go. "We will wait and see what happens when he returns to Rangers as he would love to get a chance there. "Rangers will make a decision on Alan's future. As it stands he is still a Rangers player and we will play it by ear in January."
