Nigeria international drops down a division

Scunthorpe have signed Barnsley striker Kayode Odejayi on an initial one-month loan deal. The League One outfit are hoping for an immediate return to the Championship following last season's relegation and are keen for added firepower. Manager Nigel Adkins has, therefore, secured Odejayi's services as he looks to improve his sixth-placed side's attacking options. Barnsley have agreed to the deal in the hope that the 26-year-old, who has managed just one goal in 27 appearances so far this term, finds his shooting boots after dropping down a division. Odejayi, who has one cap for Nigeria, will be available for selection against fellow promotion hopefuls Leeds on Saturday.
