Manager hints to striker that contract discussions are in the offing

Clinton Morrison has claimed Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has hinted the club are ready to extend his contract. Morrison signed for the Sky Blues from Crystal Palace last summer and has netted 11 goals in all competitions since the switch. The 29-year-old has declared that he is settled at the Ricoh Arena and is keen for the club to climb from their current position of 15th in the Championship table. "The manager has said he will have a word with me but I am just enjoying it," the Republic of Ireland international told the Coventry Telegraph. "I am glad I made the move here. The club has got great supporters and a great manager who has got faith in me, so I am very happy here." He added: "The play-offs are out of our reach now but top 10 is a good season for us and then next season when we add to the squad, that's when we can give it a right good go."
