Defender hoping for new deal

Daniel Fox is hoping to agree a contract extension with Coventry at the end of the season. The left-back has impressed for the Sky Blues this season and a number of Premier League clubs are reportedly keeping tabs on his progress. However, Fox is contracted to Coventry for two more years and he insists he would be happy to stay with the club for longer. Chris Coleman is believed to be keen to tie Fox to a new deal and the 22-year-old is optimistic the situation will be resolved in the summer. "Hopefully something will get sorted at the end of the season and I will sign my new contract before I come back for pre-season," he told the Evening Telegraph. "I am looking to get it sorted as soon as possible, as soon as the season is finished, so I can put it to bed. "I have still got another two years on my contract and the club are not in a position where they have to offer me a new deal, but the manager obviously wants to reward me for what I have done."
