Seagulls defender to re-join Forest
Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal to sign Joel Lynch permanently while Matt Thornhill has joined Brighton on loan.
21-year-old defender Lynch spent much of last season on loan at the County Ground, making 23 Championship appearances.
Forest have now agreed an initial fee of £200,000 with the League One outfit, which could rise a further £75,000 based on appearances.
While Lynch is set to leave Brighton, manager Russell Slade will bolster his options with the addition of Forest prospect Thornhill.
Potential
Slade believes the 20-year-old has immense potential and is looking forward to seeing him action for The Seagulls.
"He's a young midfielder who has huge potential and Forest rate him very highly," Slade told the club's official website.
"Matt played for Forest at Championship level last season and is an excellent athlete and 6ft 1in tall.
"He is the type of player who likes to get in the box and affect the game."
