Ipswich defender extends loan stay
Defender Pim Balkestein's loan stay at Brentford from Ipswich has been extended by a further month.
Balkestein, who was named Town's most improved player last season in his first term at the club, has impressed during his month-long stay with the Bees.
The 22-year-old will now stay at Griffin Park until 17th January, although Ipswich have a 24-hour recall option and the Dutchman will not be able to play in Brentford's third-round FA Cup tie.
Town manager Roy Keane told the club's official website: "Pim's a great example of players benefiting from going out on loan.
"He's a good, young player who is playing games there. He's doing well and Brentford have a good player so everyone gains from it.
"If I can get more of our younger players out on loan in January I will do."
