Highly-rated youngster given more time at Doncaster

Doncaster Rovers have extended on-loan midfielder Jordon Mutch's stay at the club for a further month. The 18-year-old, who has been with Rovers since the end of January after joining from Birmingham City has impressed in his spell at the club, scoring a goal in the 4-1 defeat to Middlesbrough on his debut. The youngster has also had a spell at Hereford United earlier in the season, where he made three appearances. Despite making six of his seven appearances so far as a substitute, Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll has seen enough of the player to think he can aid his side's recent climb up the Championship, with the side now just eight points off a play-off place. Mutch will complete the extension subject to him signing the relevant paperwork which cannot be completed at present, due to him currently representing England at Under-19 level following Tottenham's Dean Parrett withdrawal from the squad.
