Whites skipper wants consolidation

Leeds captain Richard Naylor has played down his side's chances of promotion this season, insisting it is a campaign for building. The 33-year-old defender has seen the Whites make a good start to life in the Championship following their promotion from League One last term, and they currently lie sixth in the table following successive victories over Millwall and Watford. Naylor has played in all four league games for Leeds so far, and was the match-winner against the Hornets last time out. However, the former Ipswich man has played down the chance of promotion, saying Simon Grayson's men just need to consolidate. When asked what the priorities were, Naylor said: "It's got to be to build really. "Obviously you'd like to go straight back to the Premier League, but having been out of this league for three seasons the most important thing is to consolidate and to build and get better each year. "If you can do that you'll be on the right path. Top half or even top-six is a possibility, and that's got to be our aim." Leeds are back in action at the weekend when Swansea travel to Elland Road, as the Whites look to make it a hat-trick of wins.
