Davis, Counago and Mahon fail to secure new contracts

Crystal Palace have confirmed Claude Davis, Pablo Counago and Gavin Mahon will be leaving the club. Jamaican centre-half Davis was signed by former Eagles boss Neil Warnock in February 2009 and has made 59 appearances for the club. However, he lost his place during the second half of the season and has not been offered a new contract by current manager Dougie Freedman. The Palace chief will also not be offering a permanent deal to striker Counago, who is now a free agent after completing his season-long loan from Ipswich. Midfielder Mahon will also not be kept on after failing to make a first-team appearance since his March arrival from champions Queens Park Rangers.
