Experienced striker joins Bolton on season-long loan

Bolton have confirmed the signing of experienced striker Tuncay Sanli on a season-long loan from Wolfsburg. Subject to him receiving a work permit, the Turkey international is returning to English football after joining Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg in January. Previously Tuncay spent one-and-a-half seasons at Stoke and two at Middlesbrough after joining from Fenerbahce in 2007. The 29-year-old combines creative flair with work-rate and Bolton boss Coyle is pleased to have brought some variety and experience into his side. "We are delighted to have secured the loan for Tuncay," he said.

Proven quality

"He has great experience added to the proven quality he possesses. We are pleased to have brought him to our club." Tuncay is also delighted to be plying his trade once again in the English top flight. "I had good talks with the manager and we spoke a lot about football and his ambitions for the club and I wanted to be part of that," he said. If Tuncay's season-long loan deal proves a success, Bolton have the option to sign him permanently. But the striker will not be available for Saturday's opening league fixture at Queens Park Rangers as he has not yet received a work permit.
