Holden has not played for Bolton this season after tearing a cruciate ligament in international action at the Gold Cup last summer.
The USA player has been blighted by a succession of serious knee problems for the past three years, but he recently returned to full training and is now at the stage where he can take part in a competitive game.
Boss Dougie Freedman has been delighted with Holden's progress and is looking forward to seeing him line up against Everton's U21s at the Reebok Stadium.
"Stuart will be involved on Monday. In training I'm seeing a player who is ready to go, but right now he needs game time," Freedman told the club's official website.
"There's a slight change in his running movements and he's looking fit and well and it is great to have him back amongst the group.
"It'll be a good game for him with it being at the Reebok, on a good playing surface."
