Fraizer Campbell reports dismissed by Hull boss Steve Bruce

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has dismissed reports linking him with a loan move for Crystal Palace striker Fraizer Campbell.

Campbell has fallen down the pecking order at Selhurst Park and has yet to feature for the Eagles this season, leading to reports Palace are looking to farm out the 28-year-old on loan, with Hull suggested as a possible destination.

Campbell had a successful spell on loan from Manchester United with the Tigers during the 2007/8 season when he made 37 appearances and scored 15 goals.

He subsequently left Old Trafford for Sunderland, where he played under Bruce, for £3.5m in July 2009 before moving on to Cardiff City and then Palace for £900,000 last summer.

However, there will be no return for Campbell to the KC Stadium with Bruce telling his club's official website: "I don't know where the Fraizer Campbell link has come from. I think we can put that one to bed.

"With signing [Adama] Diomande, we've got a striker who should be close after the next international break and we've also got Greg Luer who can step up. I'm happy with what we've got at the minute."
