Carlos Cuellar has revealed he was 'honoured' to be handed the Sunderland captaincy against Premier League champions Manchester City on Boxing Day.
Positivity
Sunderland have now won three out of their last four matches and Cuellar believes the team's positivity against City showed exactly how much progress they've made in recent weeks under manager Martin O'Neill.
"I think we are starting to show how good we can be," he said
"From the first minute we tried to play. You have to be brave to play forward against City.
"They had chances, but that is normal. It is impossible to play against Manchester City without them creating chances."
