West Brom left-back Sebastien Pocognoli has completed a season-long loan deal to Championship side Brighton.

Pocognoli arrived at The Hawthorns from Hannover 96 in July 2014 but has fallen down the pecking order since Tony Pulis took charge of the Premier League club in January 2015.

The 29-year-old Belgium international, who made only five appearances in total for the Baggies last season, moves to Chris Hughton's Seagulls side with an option for deal to be made permanent.

"We are delighted to add Sebastien to our squad, as the injury to Liam has left us a little bit short of cover in both full-back positions," manager Hughton told Brighton's website.

"Sebastien has a vast amount of experience having played in some of the top divisions in Europe, as well as in the Champions League.
