Chris Brunt returned to action for West Brom's Premier League 2 side on Monday night after almost seven months out with a knee injury.

The midfielder ruptured a cruciate ligament during Albion's Premier League game against Crystal Palace in February and missed out on Northern Ireland's Euro 2016 finals campaign.

Brunt returned to training this month and was able to play an hour for the reserves in a 5-2 win over Aston Villa.

He told the club website afterwards: "I've been training for the last couple of weeks but it's never the same until you get on the pitch.

"I felt a bit rusty at first but got better as the game went on and it was nice to get 60 minutes. It's a step in the right direction.
