Darren Moore has been named as West Bromwich Albion's new boss on a permanent basis.
The former West Brom defender was unable to save the Baggies from Premier League relegation but lost just once during his six games in charge, having taken over on a caretaker basis following Alan Pardew's departure in April.
Moore was named Premier League manager of the month for April, following wins over Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle and a draw with Liverpool.
"I am obviously extremely proud to accept this role and also extremely excited. We have a big summer ahead of us, a lot of hard work we need to get in now," Moore told the club website.
"I'm going all out to try and get those plans and personnel in place to make sure we've got everything ready. And we need to be because this is a tough league packed with great clubs.
"But what an opportunity for us to move the club in the right direction."
Sky Sports News reported West Brom's chief executive Mark Jenkins flew to China on Monday to present his choice for the club's new manager to owner Guochuan Lai.
Jenkins said in the club statement that Moore "embodies the spirit of the club and what they are trying to achieve for the club moving forward".
The Baggies had been in the Premier League since the 2010/11 season and finished 10th in 2016/17 under Tony Pulis.
He was sacked in November after a run of 10 games without a win but his replacement Pardew did not fare much better.
Pardew lost his job at the end of April after eight defeats which left the club at the bottom of the table.
