Keeper signs new Baggies deal before joining Rovers

Tranmere Rovers have signed West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Luke Daniels on a season-long loan deal. West Brom have allowed the highly-rated keeper to go out on loan after tying him down to a new two-year deal with the option of a further twelve months. Daniels made 38 appearances while on loan with Shrewsbury Town last season, helping them to reach the League Two play-off final. Tranmere have moved quickly to agree a deal to bring the 21-year-old to Prenton Park. "He had a very impressive season at Shrewsbury and has a good future ahead of him," Rovers boss John Barnes told the club's official website. "I'd like to thank West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo for allowing Luke to join us on loan."
