Premier League: West Brom head coach Alan Irvine backs Brown Ideye

West Brom head coach Alan Irvine has called for patience over striker Brown Ideye, who is yet to score for the Baggies.
Irvine believes the club's record £10million signing will quickly shrug off his penalty miss in the Capital One Cup shoot-out with Oxford on Tuesday, which Albion eventually won 7-6.
The 25-year-old could make his first Premier League start of the season when Albion go to Swansea on Saturday after his debut at Southampton last week and Irvine does not want to put him under any more pressure.
"People were raving about him after the Southampton game," said Irvine, who is still without Georgios Samaras as the striker regains match fitness.
"People were talking about him in terms of some of the legendary strikers at this club when I was doing my post-match interviews.
"It just shows how things can change so quickly. Suddenly he has gone from this legendary figure to someone people are worried about.
"He's much the same as he was before both of those games. He's shown an ability to finish in training and I would expect he'll be able to take that into games given chances.
"I expected him to score the chance he had against Southampton because I've seen what he's like in those one-versus-one situations."
