Yates happy to add Lescott and Elito to his squad

Cheltenham Town have agreed to sign Bristol Rovers midfielder Aaron Lescott and Colchester United winger Medy Elito on month-long loan deals. Robins boss Mark Yates has been striving to bring in new signings ahead of Saturday's game against Chesterfield and has finally succeeded in his quest. Lescott will add versatility and experience to the Cheltenham squad, having made 24 appearances in League One for Rovers this season. Elito, who signed a new two-year deal at Colchester last September, has been restricted to just four substitute appearances this term, but Yates is expecting the 19-year-old to make an impact.

Tough week

"It's been a tough week and I've had a few knock-backs, but I'm delighted that we are able to bring these two lads in," Yates told the club's official website. "Aaron is a winner and a leader who can play in a number of different positions. He will give us extra strength and drive and he's also got a lot of experience at this level and in League One. "Medy is a talented young player with bags of energy and pace. He will also be a very good addition to the squad. "I would like to thank both clubs very much for their help in getting these deals sorted out."
