Sheffield Wednesday striker Stevie May has set his sights on a place in the senior Scotland squad.

May, who played the full 90 minutes for Scotland Under-21s on Monday when they beat Luxembourg 3-0 in a Euro 2015 qualifier, turns 22 in November and hopes his summer move to Hillsborough can help him catch Gordon Strachan's eye.

"Of course anyone would say you'd rather be with the full national squad, but there are a lot of top international strikers in the full squad," May told Wednesday's official website.

"Playing at the highest level possible is a personal goal of mine.

"That's why I made the move this summer to do that.

"If that comes with an international call-up down the line, then that's great."

Scotland Under-21s' victory in Luxembourg was not enough to secure them a place in the Euro 2015 finals as they finished third in their group behind Holland and Slovakia.
