Left winger commits to Plymouth for two more seasons

Plymouth winger Yala Bolasie has agreed a new two-year deal with the club. The 21-year-old joined the Pilgrims in 2008 for a nominal fee from Maltese Premier League club Floriana. After loan spells with Rushden and Barnet, he finally broke into the Plymouth first team in February and became a regular in the failed Championship survival campaign. He has now agreed to stay on as new boss Peter Reid attempts to get back into English football's second tier at the first attempt. "I'm happy to sign for another two years," Bolasie told the club's official website, adding he felt his inclusion last term was deserved. "I worked hard for it, so it didn't come as a great surprise. Now I've got to do that again this season. "I want to be in the 11 on the first day of the season, but not just that - all season, and show some more consistency."
