Sky Sports understands Ipswich are in talks with defender Christophe Berra over a new long-term deal at Portman Road.
Berra is entering the final year of his contract at Ipswich after arriving on a free transfer from Wolves last summer.
The 29-year-old impressed last season for Ipswich, making 45 appearances in all competitions and chipping in with five goals as Town just missed out on the Championship play-offs.
Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy is a huge fan of Berra and the defender's form last term saw him re-establish himself in the Scotland side.
Ipswich are now keen to reward Berra for becoming a key man in the team with a new long-term contract as they look to make another bid for promotion back to the Premier League next season.
