Alan Bowkett leaves position as Norwich City chairman

Alan Bowkett has stepped down as chairman and director of Norwich City as the club push forward with boardroom changes.

Bowkett, who previously occupied a similar role with construction company Redrow, has been on the board at Carrow Road since 2009.

A statement on the club's official website revealed that further changes are on the way. It read: "Norwich City Football Club would like to place on record their thanks to Alan for his contribution.

"The club has been working recently to refresh the board of directors and an announcement about new directors and a new chairman will be made in the next few weeks.

"The ownership of the club will be unaffected by these changes.
