Skysports.com understands Norwich winger Anthony McNamee is set to leave Carrow Road on a free transfer.

Winger not expected to suit Canaries' style of play this season

Skysports.com understands Norwich City winger Anthony McNamee is set to leave Carrow Road on a free transfer. McNamee joined the Canaries from Swindon Town in late 2009, initially on loan, and has played a part in helping the club rise from League One to the Premier League. He made 17 appearances in the Championship last season, but the 27-year-old is being allowed to move on by Paul Lambert. It is understood the system of play Lambert is looking to adopt in the top flight this term will not suit McNamee, so the Norwich boss will not stand in the wide-man's way. A host of Championship clubs are thought to be interested in McNamee, who has scored once in 37 appearances during his time at Norwich.
