Paul Lambert has insisted he is not taking his Norwich team to Old Trafford just to be spectators against Manchester United.
The Canaries claimed a 2-1 win over Sunderland in midweek and showed signs they are adapting to life in the Premier League.
However they will face a juggernaut in United who have won five of their opening six league games and currently top the table.
But Lambert is in a bullish mood ahead of the trip north due to their latest win.
Old Trafford
"I knew if we could win (against Sunderland) then we could go to Old Trafford with a bit more faith and feeling a bit more buoyant rather than going up there and worrying about getting turned over," he said.
"I hear people say go and enjoy it but you can only enjoy it if you can hold your own.
"In my view, the Manchester United are probably the best team in Britain at the minute and along with Barcelona one of the best teams in Europe.
"That is the magnitude of our achievement in getting into this league. No-one is going to expect us to win anything there.
"The lads will love the atmosphere and the stadium and we'll go up there and give it everything we've got."
Summer
Elliott Bennett is one of a number of new faces brought in this summer and has played in the last three games.
He is not though taking his place in the team for granted for the game against United as Lambert has already used 21 players in their six opening league games.
"The squad's so good that any 11 players could play at any given time and do a really good job or Norwich City," said Bennett.
"The gaffer picks the team depending on the opposition and how he best thinks we can win a game and whether that means you're in the team or not, you back your team-mates."
