Claudio Ranieri says Leicester City's aim is to reach the 40-point mark this season, despite being top at Christmas for the first time in their 131-year history.
Two points adrift of their overall season target with less than half of the games played, Ranieri's insistence is no more than a ploy to keep his high-flying side grounded.
Those outside the club are beginning to wonder whether this season's surprise package can defy the odds and qualify for the Champions League or even win the Premier League? But what do the stats say the Foxes can achieve this campaign?
Premier League history suggests that if you're top at Christmas, you've got a relatively good chance of being crowned champions, although this rule applies strictly to Arsenal, Chelsea and the Manchester clubs.
Of the other teams to have found themselves leading the way at Christmas, Norwich (1992/93), Newcastle (1995/96 & 2001/02), Aston Villa (1998/99) and Leeds (1999/00), none have gone on to win the title.
However, with the exception of Villa, who finished sixth in 1999, all the sides mentioned above finished the season in the top four, so who's to say the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid won't be heading to the King Power Stadium next year?
Many continue to write off the Foxes' title chances, but the stats in recent seasons suggest they are well placed to end the campaign with silverware.
In fact, the only club in the last six seasons not to have not won the league having been top at Christmas are Liverpool in 2013/14.
