Jamie Vardy may have been suspended for Leicester's Boxing Day clash against Everton, but his face was certainly not missed at the King Power Stadium!
That's because the Premier League champions left 30,000 Vardy face masks on the seats for the home supporters to wear on Monday afternoon.
Vardy served the first match of his suspension against the Toffees having been shown a straight red card for a two-footed lunge on Mame Biram Diouf in Leicester's 2-2 draw at Stoke on December 17.
A Football Association disciplinary panel upheld referee Craig Pawson's decision to dismiss Vardy after Leicester had decided to appeal the red card given to the England forward.
Leicester chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha called the decision one that could "distort the charm of the Premier League", while manager Claudio Ranieri was equally dispirited at his pre-Christmas media conference on Friday, claiming he was "sad for football".
And that sadness led the powers-that-be at Leicester to this novel way of showing their support for Vardy!
