Interest mounts in winger

Jason Puncheon, described as the best player outside the Premier League, is waiting to see whether he will be leaving Barnet or not this month. The 21-year-old has had a tremendous season for The Bees and his form has seen a host of scouts follow his progress. Indeed a host of Premier League clubs are believed to be weighing up a beat-the-deadline bid for the winger. Puncheon has been the subject of bids from Leeds - who are desperate to clinch his signature and are trying to seal a quick deal before a Premier or Championship club can swoop.

Puncheon's advisor Tony Finnigan admits the player is calm about the interest being shown in him. "We all know he will go onto bigger and better things, I think - and I am not the only one - he is the best player outside the Premier League," he told skysports.com. "We know about the interest in him, and we just have to wait and see what happens. "The clubs in for Jason know what Barnet want for him so we just have to see what happens between now and next Thursday."
