Leeds striker sidelined for 'foreseeable future'

Leeds United have revealed that striker Enoch Showunmi is to be sidelined for the 'foreseeable future'. Showunmi has not featured for the Whites since their 3-1 loss to Milton Keynes Dons in December. And it has been confirmed that the 26-year-old, who signed at Elland Road from Bristol City last summer, suffered a blood clot in his lung. A statement on the club's official website read: "Enoch Showunmi suffered a clot on his lung shortly before Christmas. "He has since made a full recovery, but will not be available for selection for the foreseeable future. "Leeds United will continue to monitor Enoch's condition and we hope he continues to make good progress. "Everyone at the football club wishes Enoch all the best."
