Pompey eager to get back to winning ways

Jason Pearce admits it is imperative that Portsmouth address their recent wobble and start picking up points. Pompey have suffered back-to-back defeats against West Ham and Hull City to slip to 19th place in the Championship. It is still early in the season, but the need to get back to winning ways as soon as possible is not lost on anyone at Fratton Park. Home games against Blackpool and Peterborough are next up for Steve Cotterill's side and Pearce believes those games will offer an opportunity to get back on track. "We need to get some results quickly but we've got a lot of good players in the dressing room and we know we can turn it around," he said. "We're training well but it's not happening on the Saturday, so we need to do better on the pitch. "There are no better games than ones at Fratton Park with the fans behind you, so it's a massively important game next week."
