Walsall have signed Bryn Morris on a two-month loan from Middlesbrough.

The former England Under-19 captain will link up with Sean O'Driscoll having worked under the head coach with the international age group.

Midfielder Morris will have to wait for his Walsall debut as he is cup-tied for their FA Cup fourth-round trip to Reading on Saturday, having played in the competition while at York earlier in the season.

"I'm really happy to be here," Morris told saddlers.co.uk after joining the Sky Bet League 1 promotion chasers. "I've obviously worked with Sean before and he's got a really good philosophy.

"I loved playing for him and we had some really good results with England.

"When I spoke to him he said it's the club's philosophy to give young players a chance.

"So that's good for me and shows young players that there is a pathway through the system."
