Bradford City have confirmed the appointment of Stuart McCall as their new manager.
McCall returned from a family holiday in Tenerife to meet with the club's new German owners, before signing his contract on Monday.
Bradford had been looking for a new management team since Phil Parkinson and his assistant Steve Parkin left the Bantams to take over League One rivals Bolton on June 10.
McCall came through the youth system at Bradford and was sold to Everton in 1988, before spending another four seasons towards the end of his playing career at Valley Parade.
He cut his teeth in coaching at the club as an assistant to Chris Hutchings and spent 14 days as their caretaker boss in the autumn of 2000, before later returning as manager in 2007 when he enjoyed three more years at the Yorkshire club.
Following his departure, McCall had a successful spell in Scotland with Motherwell, where he led the side to second place in the Scottish Premier League for two consecutive seasons, as well as the final of the Scottish Cup.
He had a brief spell in charge of Rangers in 2015 but was unable to get the club promoted from the Scottish Championship.
Under Parkinson, Bradford finished fifth in League One last season and were later beaten in a two-legged play-off by Millwall.
