Jamie Ness heads to Plymouth after Scunthorpe release

Plymouth have signed midfielder Jamie Ness following his release by Scunthorpe.

Ness, who departed Glanford Park at the end of last season, has put pen to paper on an undisclosed contract at Home Park.

The newly-promoted Sky Bet League One club said on their official website: "Scottish under-21 midfielder Jamie Ness has become Pilgrims' manager Derek Adams latest summer acquisition."

Ness, who progressed through Rangers' academy, made 39 league appearances in two seasons at Scunthorpe after joining them on a free transfer from Stoke.
