Adebayo Akinfenwa has set his sights on earning a long-term deal with Yeovil. Akinfenwa has been sidelined for nine months after breaking his right leg, but he made a return to action for Yeovil's reserves against his former club Swansea on Wednesday The striker, who has been receiving treatment with Yeovil after leaving Swansea in the summer, is now targeting a return to first-team action before the end of November and is keen to secure a permenant contract at Huish Park. Akinfenwa has revealed that a number of other League One clubs are chasing his services and that he is set to discuss his future with his agent within the next two weeks.

"I have got to have a meeting with my agent because quite a few clubs have shown an interest," Akinfenwa told the Western Daily Press. "A couple are League One clubs nearer my home in London and it is nice to know that I am wanted. "I have spent a lot of time at Yeovil, though, and I have really enjoyed it. "Hopefully both parties can all agree terms on a deal within the next couple of weeks and I can stay."
Delight
Akinfenwa also admitted his delight at making his playing return. "I am a footballer and I just want to be out there doing the thing I love," he added. "I am just looking forward to getting a couple more games under my belt now to regain my match fitness."
