Evans eyes new club

Rhys Evans has been left shocked by the news that Millwall will not be offering him a new contract. The former England Under 21 goalkeeper played a major role in helping The Lions secure their safety in League One after he joined the club in January from Blackpool. However, the player has now been told he will not be getting the deal he was told was in the pipeline. "It is a big shock," his agent Alex Levack told skysports.com. "Rhys is very disappointed to say the least. He did a great job for Millwall and was told all along that he would be rewarded with a longer contract, if he produced the performances on the pitch, which he did. "Now he has learnt this, it is a major blow as he was very happy at Millwall. "We don't envisage a major problem in finding him a new club - although we were not expecting to have to find a new club for him this summer."
