Defender out for up to eight weeks with knee injury

Bristol Rovers defender Danny Coles is out for up to eight weeks with a knee injury. Coles, who missed the start of the season through injury, suffered his latest setback in Saturday's 2-1 win over Leyton Orient. Scans have shown cartilage damage and he will undergo an operation once he has visited a surgeon for a more detailed diagnosis on Tuesday. Rovers expect Coles to be out for between 'six to eight' weeks, meaning he is unlikely to be available again before December. Coles had an eventful game against Orient as his own goal put the visitors in front before he equalised on 61 minutes and was then taken off with his injury four minutes later.
