Vale midfielder eyes Huddersfield scalp

Port Vale midfielder Louis Dodds is hoping to capitalise on managerless Huddersfield Town's vulnerable state to secure a place in the FA Cup second round on Saturday. Stan Ternent left Huddersfield earlier this week and Dodds told skysports.com he believes the Terriers can be caught off-guard when they clash at the Galpharm Stadium. He said: "I think winning breeds confidence and confidence makes everyone enjoy their football more. "If we can get a result at Huddersfield, which I feel is possible as they aren't on a great run themselves, then we can take that form into the league and push up the table. "The FA Cup is pretty magical in the fact that any team can beat any other on their day and lower league sides can beat teams they really shouldn't be able to. "We took Sheffield United to the wire earlier this season in the Carling Cup and could have got something out of it, so that will give us confidence going into the FA Cup."
