Leyton Orient manager Geraint Williams is still casting an eye over a number of trialists as he looks to add the finishing touches to his squad.
Williams has been watching the likes of former Ipswich full-back Matt Richards and ex-Arsenal centre-half Dominic Casciato.
However, the Welshman told
skysports.com that no deals will be offered until they prove their worth to the club.
He said: "We have got one or two slots available in the side, but it has to be the right player, with the right character, at the right place to fill those positions.
"We've had three or four lads down for trials and they've all acquitted themselves well, but as of yet we haven't offered any deals to them.

"We have to work to a budget at this club and there isn't a pot of money available to me, so it has to be something that really will pay off for the club and at the moment we haven't found that in them yet."
James Scowcroft was unveiled as the Os' new signing yesterday and Williams is hoping the 33-year-old's experience will be a great asset to them this season.
"He is proven at a higher level, but he brings a lot more to the table than just goals, although we will be looking for him to contribute in that area because he is a striker," said Williams.
"His physical presence is always a handful for defenders and he is a very clever footballer that can bring others into the game, so I'm hoping he will have a big effect on the team."
