Andy Williams hopes to use the final games of the season to earn a new contract at Bristol Rovers.

Winger insists there is still plenty to play for

Andy Williams hopes to use the final games of the season to impress sufficiently to earn a new contract at Bristol Rovers. The 23-year-old winger has started 15 games for Paul Trollope's side this season, scoring two goals. He also insists there is plenty for Rovers to play for despite their outside League One play-off chances being dashed in Tuesday's 5-1 defeat against Southampton. "Our aim at the start of the season was to improve on the last campaign. If we fail to pick up enough points in the last few games we will have failed to achieve that," he told the Evening Post. "I am also still hoping to get a new contract so there is still a lot for me to fight for. I hope that I can keep fighting in these last few games and get rewarded for it."
