Burton boss not surprised keeper plumped for League One move

Paul Peschisolido admits he was not surprised that Burton Albion missed out to Exeter City for the signing of Artur Krysiak. Poland Under-19 international goalkeeper Krysiak made 40 appearances for the Brewers whilst on loan from Birmingham last season. However, Krysiak rejected a contract from Burton in order to sign for League One side Exeter and Peschisolido was philosophical after failing to secure a deal for the keeper. "It didn't surprise me that other clubs moved in on Artur once he got his release from Birmingham," Peschisolido told the Burton Mail. "I have a high regard for him because he's a good lad who trains well, and I think he has all the qualities needed to make a really good keeper. "That's why I wanted to keep him at Burton because he is going to get better and better as a player. "But I was half-expecting that we would lose out to a bigger club, and you certainly can't blame Artur for wanting to progress up the ladder and test himself at a higher level."
