Burton won't pay over the odds for Posh striker

Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido is not prepared to meet any 'crazy valuation' of Peterborough United striker Scott Rendell. The 23-year-old is available for transfer at London Road after spending a spell on loan at Torquay United last season. Peschisolido has admitted an interest in Rendell, but has revealed that Posh director of football Barry Fry is proving a difficult man to do business with. "There is a stumbling block when you are dealing with Barry; he has some crazy valuations," said Peschisolido. "I quite liked him [Rendell] last season and have been looking at perhaps bringing in someone a bit different up front." However, Peschisolido believes the form of last season's front duo of Greg Pearson and Shaun Harrad means he feels in a position of strength when it comes to negotiations. The Canadian added: "When you look at the input of Greg and Shaun last season, they scored a hell of a lot of goals so there is no reason to go out and panic buy. We will see what happens."
