Swindon Town manager Danny Wilson has backed star striker Charlie Austin to continue his fine goalscoring record this season.
The 21-year-old, signed from non-league Poole Town last October, notched 20 goals in just 32 starts last season, helping to fire the Robins to the play-off final.
The Robins will need him to pick up where he left off last season, especially after the loss of top scorer Billy Paynter, and Wilson has full confidence in Austin.
"We will see whether Charlie can continue his impressive start when we get the chance to kick a ball in anger on August 7th," Wilson told skysports.com.
"We certainly have a lot of faith in him and we feel that he will come back in and look just as good as he was last year.
"His work ethic was one of the best attributes of his game last year and if he can keep that up then his chances will come.
"If he slacks off and doesn't put the work in then the chances may come at a premium, but he has a good head on his shoulders and his application to the team has always been very good."
Austin has been heavily linked with a move away from the County Ground this summer, but Wilson is delighted to report that the club have not received any offers.
He added: "We've not had a single offer for him this summer and that delights me because after losing one of your top two strikers you really could do with keeping the other one.
"It is an area where we have been rather resolute this summer. If someone had come in for him then it would have needed to be a very handsome fee for us to consider it because we don't want to lose him."
