Cambridge have signed defender Mickey Demetriou on a six-month loan deal from Shrewsbury.
United announced the deal for the 25-year-old left-sided defender, who will be at the club until January.
Boss Richard Money told the club's official website: "Mickey is a player we know well from our time in the conference whilst playing against Kidderminster, and last season he played 40 games for Shrewsbury during their promotion winning campaign.
"We have been active in trying to bring another versatile left-sided player to the club and Mickey fits the profile perfectly.
"He will give us good options and competition at left-back, left wing-back and left midfield, all areas where we felt we needed another player."
